What are ECONWARD’s mission and values?

The company wants to bring about the decarbonization of the economy and ultimately a cleaner planet. We are aligned with circular economy principles, so we understand that decarbonization is a necessity, not an option. Our technology contributes to reducing the disposal of organic waste in landfills by obtaining biomethane, a renewable energy. A plant that uses our technology generates biomethane, a renewable energy. That biomethane allows us to be self-sufficient in terms of energy, and the exceeding part can be injected into the grid. It must be noted that our technology is not a substitute for existing technologies; it integrates existing processes, making them far more efficient.

How can ECONWARD technologies contribute to achieving the various Sustainable Development Goals in the 2030 Agenda?

We have several goals such as reducing emissions, creating cleaner industries, and improving people’s workplaces. If they came to the plant and saw how we operate, they would see it is a highly automated and efficient process, also in its personnel needs, and that we generate no noise or emissions. In fact, we are in an urban area, and we make an efficient use of water, as well as we reduce our power consumption, which are key to decarbonization. We can generate self-consumption in our plant, because for each unit of energy invested, we can obtain 10 units of energy that we can send to the grid. This way, a plant that uses our technology will consume just water, with the rest of the electricity consumption being self-generated.
