What added value does Cloud Enterprise bring to the market?

We are a group of different companies focused on offering technology and IT solutions to the market for 40 years. In Mexico, there are around 28,000 registered companies that sell IT infrastructure to government and corporate clients. Our group is comprised of three wholesale companies and some integrators. Two of these wholesale companies are run by my brothers and I am in charge of the third. In 2013, I left the family business and managed Equipos Computacionales de México (ECOMSA), which is the oldest company, founded in 1981. In 2013, ECOMSA gets the distribution of IBM and Lenovo, that same year Cloud Enterprise Services was also created as an integrator; we are a business partner and distribution channel. We focus on SMEs, corporate companies and government (federal and state).

Considering your diverse portfolio, for the coming year, what segments are likely to be more in demand?

With the pandemic, we have seen that the digital transformation has accelerated, especially remote work through different videoconferencing and collaboration platforms, this has allowed an option to interact to have business meetings with our customers, as well as continue transactions through different portals on the web, allowing to generate large sales. We are seeing more and more software defined and applications for different infrastructure and security solutions. An interesting fact is that, in 2020, the IT industry grew by 5%, and we expect a growth of 11.7% in Mexico in 2021. The number of cyberattacks has also skyrocketed. If there are no security systems in place for an employee who works from home and connects to cloud systems or remotely to the office, it puts the security of the company itself at risk.
