Heed looking to unearth the region’s top footballing talent
GATESHEAD FC are staging a masterclass session and trials match on Tuesday, April 18 at the International Stadium.
Under-19s’ head coach Micky Cummins will oversee the event and said: “It is going to be great to see what is out there talent-wise.
“This is a massive opportunity for any young aspiring professional footballer.
“We are looking to find the next generation of professional footballers and I know there are really talented individuals out there and I am looking forward to seeing them play.
“We will be having kids come in from grassroots clubs all the way to professional set-ups so it will be a great day for us and I am sure it will be very productive.”
To register your interest in either session contact Gateshead FC on 0191 478 3883 or email mike. coulson@Gateshead-FC.com.
Cummins’ charges are currently top of Division One of the Northern Alliance League.
A brace from Callum Johnston and strikes from Cameron Fenton and Liam Turnbull saw the Heed youngsters claim their 18th win from 20 league matches by beating Gosforth Bohemians 4-2.
Cummins added: “I am very pleased with the lads.
“They stuck to their task well and performed to a good standard.
“We have a small squad but they are growing in confidence with every game and working hard.”
