Wallsend win puts them further in front of City

UNDER-16 League Division One leaders Wallsend BC won at Monkseaton but second-placed Newcastle City lost 2-1 at Cramlingto­n Juniors.

Cramlingto­n came from behind to prevail with goals from Tom Hizzett and Daniel Stephenson.

Red House Farm Eagles and North Shields played a 1-1 draw.

Division Two leaders Newcastle Benfield defeated Heaton Hawks 2-1, while Hexham and Red House Farm Kites shared the points in a 2-2 draw.

Ponteland were 2-0 home winners over Stakeford.

Newbiggin Hall remain in touch with Division Three leaders Blaydon after a 4-1 success over North Shields Athletic.
