WHAT’S ON EDITOR PREVIEWS THE 100 VOICES OF GOSPEL WHICH IS HEADING TO NEWCASTLE CITY HALL

-

NEWCASTLE audiences will be wowed by song as international choir The 100 Voices of Gospel heads to the City Hall on Tuesday as part of its world tour.

The internationally-renowned gospel choir is playing just two dates in the UK – London (on Monday) and Newcastle.

They came to prominence to UK audiences as finalists in last year’s Britain’s Got Talent and earlier this month featured on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway performing for the End of the Show Show.

Tickets to the UK concerts priced from £19.50 are on sale now from www.seetickets.com

Since its inception in 1998, The 100 Voices of Gospel has travelled across the world sharing its passion, faith and love for gospel with captivated and loyal audiences.

The popularity of this excellent choir continues to grow and it has become one of the most famous in the world.

Speaking about the UK dates, the choir’s producer Jean-Baptiste Guyon said: “It is a great honour for The 100 Voices of Gospel to sing in England.

“The public reception and judges of Britain’s Got Talent will remain engraved in our memories throughout our lives.

“The 100 Voices of Gospel is more than a simple concert and it’s more than just a choir. It is above all a great show – the biggest tour in Europe with 130 people on the road – that combines singing, music and dance.

“We will offer you the best we can for you to share a moment that we hope will be unforgettable.”

Last year The 100 Voices of Gospel wowed Britain’s Got Talent audiences with judge Alesha Dixon declaring them as her Golden Buzzer act, which secured them an immediate place in the live semi-finals.

The UK dates are presented by music and event promoters Cuffe and Taylor. Director Peter Taylor said he is thrilled to be able to promote the choir’s only UK shows.

He said: “The 100 Voices of Gospel are an incredibly exciting choir so we are delighted to be able to work with them on their World Tour.

“This performance will be a magical experience for audiences and will be enjoyed by young and old alike.”

The 100 Voices of Gospel are at Newcastle City Hall on Tuesday, April 25.
