Aiston helps Greenside to capture Fish

GREENSIDE’S Steven Aiston showed no friendship towards Hartlepool Fishermens Friends in the Durham Sunday Cup, scoring nine goals in their 13-2 win.

In the NFA Sunday Minor Cup, Walker Jubilee thrashed Cramlingto­n Phoenix Club 14-2.

Daisy Hill End were 5-2 victors over Cramlingto­n Rising Sun while St Peters Social triumphed 3-1 at Blyth Waterloo.

Blakelaw Towers received a bye as Blyth United Services had folded in July and Hillheads lost 4-3 to Newbiggin New Ship.

In the Charlie Taylor Cup, Wallsend Town Fosse defeated Scotswood Social 5-1 -Lawrence McKenna and Michael Baxter both netting twice.

Stephen Knox also claimed two counters for Grainger Park in the 3-1 success over the Alexandra and 42nd Street are also through to the next round after a 4-2 extra-time penalty win at Barking Dog.

Only two games were played in the Premier Division.

Lee Garwood scored twice for Westfield Social in their 5-2 result at Blakelaw Social, Marcus Brown claiming both Blakelaw’s counters, and Blucher Blue Star overcame Springbank Social. In B Division, Benwell Sports edged through 2-1 at Westacres and Wallsend Labour defeated Heaton Meadowfiel­d 3-2.

Lemington Labour were 4-1 home winners over Walkergate Athletic.

Nathan Winter was on the mark with five goals for Roof Top Bar in their 11-2 verdict at Peregrine - Jordan Thursby and Karl Lazzari both scoring twice.

In C Division,Matty Charlton hit a hat-trick for Newcastle Jubilee in their 6-2 victory against West Denton Social.

Trent House prevailed 2-1 at High Howdon Social and Stags Head triumphed 3-1 at AD Victoriam.

In D Division, Dan Fullen was another fivegoal hero for Marlboroug­h Social in their 7-0 success at West End Tigers.

Josh Thompson struck twice for Rosehill Tavern as they saw off West Allotment Social 8-2.
