Bowman on target with last-minute winner for leaders Belle Vue

PREMIER Division leaders Belle Vue took the points at Winlaton West End - but they were made to work for them.

Alex Francis opened the scoring for Belle Vue but that was cancelled out by Connor Brierley.

In the last minute of the match, Belle Vue’s James Bowman notched to win the game 2-1.

Highwayman picked up their first league win since promotion with a 4-0 victory over Birtley RAOB. Steven Cain netted twice for Highwayman, added to by strikes from Gary Archbold and Dan Freeman.

Crawcrook Albion raced into a three-goal lead against Fiddlers Three thanks to efforts from Alex Phillips, Dan Murphy and Rhys Harbottle.

However, a second-half fightback from Fiddlers saw them take a point in a 3-3 draw.

Goalscorer­s for Fiddlers were Paul Donnelly, Gordon Hutchinson and Dean Kirtley.

Gateshead Three Tuns remain top of Division One thanks to a narrow 1-0 success over Leam Lane Rangers - Daniel Wilkinson with the winner.
