Robley clincher is lovely for the Jubilee

A SOLE strike from Kieran Robley was enough to help Haltwhistl­e Jubilee into the quarter-finals of the Tyneside Amateur Challenge Shield at the expense of Gosforth Bohemian Reserves.

Stobswood Welfare also progressed to the last eight as they maintained their seasonal 100% record in all competitio­ns.

A hat-trick from Jake Baker and counters from Jeff Henderson, Kevin Bell and Ross Heckels took them past Killingwor­th YPC Cobras 6-3.

In the league, Jesmond FC returned to the top with a 3-1 success at Forest Hall YPC. Louis Tiplady bagged a brace and was joined on the scoresheet by Adam Duckworth, Colyn Liddell on target for Forest Hall.

Morpeth Town Seniors went goal crazy against Newbiggin Hall Vettic.

Will Pritchard scored four times, Simon Farrier added a treble, Michael Bray added a pair and Jamie Crosbie completed the scoring.

Ellington continued their recent good form and rose to second in the table with a 3-0 verdict at Chemfica Amateurs - Daniel Purvis, Brent Aisbitt and Trevor Newman on target.

Newcastle Medicals and West Jesmond shared six goals and the points.

Sonny March was a hat-trick hero for West but a brace from John Steel and a Ryan Stanners strike ensured a draw for Medicals.

Ponteland United Reserves won against Wideopen and District A with six goalscorer­s – Darren Parkes, Kittisak Spratt, Conor O’Driscol, Kieran Gardner, Mark Thompson and Michael Embleton.
