Town rout strugglers for first win

PRUDHOE Town secured their first win of the season, beating Guisboroug­h 5-0 at home.

Katy Hemmingway gave the hosts a 12th-minute lead before adding her second four minutes later, her first goals for the club.

Stephanie Curry gave the hosts the lead before Allison Ferris levelled for fourth-placed Boldon, who are now two points adrift of the leaders having played a game more.

Consett, meanwhile, stay in fifth, four points behind the leaders.
