Six-goal Coachman all over the Highway

WHICKHAM Coachman ran out 6-4 winners against Highwayman in the Gateshead and District Sunday League’s Premier Division.

Zak Atkinson and Dale Robson both scored twice for The Coachies, Alex White and Ryan Davenport also on target.

Scoring for Highwayman were Lee Peacock (2), Steven Cain and Carl Foster.

In the Premier Division Cup, Blue Star eased into the last four with a 7-0 victory at Crawcrook Albion.

Mark Doninger and Anth Falcon both hit doubles while Robbie Houghton, Ricky Fenwick and Niki Langston also notched.

Joining them in the semi-finals are Fiddlers Three, who beat Birtley RAOB 4-2.

Goals from Ollie Leedham, Gordon Hutchinson, Liam Barnett and Paul Donnelly counted for Fiddlers, Birtley’s replies from Callum Turnbull and Andy Cameron.

In the Division One Cup, Teams Club were 3-1 winners at Whickham Bay Horse.

A brace from Rhys Dent and one from Connor McMillan saw Teams progress. Alex Gasgoine netted for the Horse.

Belle Vue are through to the third round of the Durham County Cup following their 3-1 win against West Auckland The Club.

Counters from James Bowman, Micky Hutchinson and John Dewhurst saw the Belle Vue through.

Their reward is a visit to Greenside in the next round.

BEDLINGTON Social Club triumphed 3-0 at home against Earsdon Red Lion in the Blyth and Wansbeck Sunday League’s Premer Division.

Notching for the Bedlington side were Joe Bolam, Andrew Thompson and Adam Ord.

Blyth Town Sunday also took the points with a 9-1 home win against a weakened East Chevington. Leading the scoring for Blyth Town was Daniel Carr with five.

Rob Ridley (2), Liam Gillesphie and Danny Voung completed the scoring.

Bedlington Sunday thrashed North Blyth Bar 17-2, Michael Greives and Ryan Young each with four goals and Andrew McLennon and Tommy Wilkinson with hat-tricks.

David Kewn (2) and Glen Reardon completed the scoring.

BLACKHALL Mill and Chopwell turned on the style to eliminate Division One rivals Consett Scotch Arms from the Consett Sunday League’s Consett Charity Cup.

Derek Waters hit a hat-trick and Carl Smith, Kieran Russell and Arron Fletcher all netted in the 6-1 victory, Dan Walker replying.

In the only other game to beat the weather, Winlaton Highlander disposed of Consett Top Club 2-1.

Callum Landells and Jack Self struck, Dan Parker on target for Consett.
