Hall looking much better for Cleator

TWR TRADE FRAMES WEARSIDE LEAGUE

-

CLEATOR Moor Celtic collected their first win in four games with a 10-1 demolition of Prudhoe Town.

Ryan Hall hit a memorable quadruple for Cleator - Kieran Maguire and Leigh Dunn both bagging braces - as Celtic remained five points behind table-toppers Hebburn Town Reserves.

The Hornets maintained their advantage at the top with a professional 3-1 victory over Silksworth CW.

Despite Hebburn peppering the Silksy goal - with Dylan Nesbitt proving an early handful – it was the visitors who took the lead on the 35 minutes.

However, with the assistance of Northern League player Lee Kerr, the Hornets produced a stunning second-half performance.

Redcar Athletic jumped into third place at the expense of Boldon CA, who they overcame 3-0.

There were questions asked as to whether Joe Bennett’s opener was supposed to be a cross as it crept over the opposition goalkeeper.

However, there was no doubt about Redcar’s second following Sam Webster’s excellent finish.

Lance Skelton’s impact from the bench proved instant after he wrapped up the victory with his first touch.

Windscale emphatically won the crucial bottom-of-the-table clash against Coxhoe Atheltic 5-0.

Scott Ryan scored twice to ensure Stokesley SC remain in the bottom three after a 3-1 defeat at Richmond Town.

In the Durham Trophy, Sunderland West End and Gateshead Leam Rangers reached the final after seeing off West Auckland Tunns and Hartlepool respectively.

The Monkwearmouth Charity Cup saw Wolviston edge a sevengoal thriller at South Shields side Harton and Westoe and progress into the third round.
