MUM Tuesday, BBC2, regions vary
LIKE Him and Her, Stefan Golaszewski’s sitcom is another blissful masterpiece. This second run has been even more engaging than the first, not least because of Jason and Kelly, the star cross’d idiots with hearts of gold. In the final offering, it’s November and Cathy is having a bonfire. As Michael attempts to move on after the death of his mother, Cathy feels she needs to tell him something. Lesley Manville, Peter Mullan and Lisa McGrillis are outstanding, as always. Let’s hope we don’t have to wait too long for series three.

In a unique experiment, a team of leading experts have agreed to adapt their research exclusively for the programme, and test two adults who think they are in need of a diagnosis.
