Eagles ready to swoop for league title

RED House Farm Eagles are just three points away from the Premiershi­p title after a 4-0 win at Wallsend Boys Club Yellows and a 3-1 victory at home to Cramlingto­n Juniors Reds.

The Reds also picked up a point in a 1-1 draw with North Shields Juniors.

A brace from Ashton Price secured a point for third-placed Team Gosforth Feyenoord in a 2-2 stalemate with Cramlingto­n Juniors Whites.

Division Two leaders Tynemouth United Yellows left the door open for Newcastle East End Blues by dropping points in a 1-1 draw with Alnwick Town Magpies.

Elsewhere there were wins for Cramlingto­n Town Yellows and Walker Central Blues and a 2-2 draw between Whitley Bay Sporting Club Whites and Ponteland United CSKA.

Sunderland Athletic kept their faint hopes of the Division Three title alive with a 3-2 success over Forest Hall Magpies.

Fourth-placed Bedlington Eagles prevailed empathical­ly at third-placed Red House Farm Kites.

North Shields Juniors Reds secured the Division Four honours with a 2-1 verdict over Team Gosforth PSV – Josh Craig and Kenzie Taylor on target.

Ryan Badmington continued his goalscorin­g form with a hat-trick in Wideopen Warriors’ 5-3 result against Blyth Spartans Greens – Bailey Dickinson also netting a brace for Wideopen.

Monkseaton Juniors beat West Moor Juniors 1-0.

Hat-tricks for Cameron Syers and James Gurrley helped Longhought­on Rangers to a 7-5 victory over North Shields Whites in Division Five.
