Ten out of ten for Wallsend - but a Black day for the Fyne boys

WALLSEND Boys Club continued their march to the Premiershi­p title with their 10th consecutiv­e victory – this one an emphatic one against Blackfyne Juniors.

A Jack Patterson hat-trick helped Whitley Bay Sporting Club Blues beat Montagu and North Fenham Reds 4-1 – and two goals from Jake Harbottle contribute­d to Cramlingto­n Town Juniors’ 4-3 success over Newcastle City Juve.

Daniel Lennie’s hat-trick for fifthplace­d Kingston Park enabled his side to pick up a point in a 3-3 draw against second-placed Cramlingto­n United Pumas in Division One guaranteei­ng the title for Walker Central Blues.

Third-placed Swalwell also drew 3-3 Newcastle East End Blues.

In Division Three it was a mixed weekend for fifth-placed Gateshead Redheugh, who played two matches.

They lost 6-4 at home to Morpeth Town Cougars but won 3-2 at Wideopen Wolves – the latter despite a brace from Wideopen’s Luke Leadbitter.

Five counters from Drew Astley and a pair of goals for Oliver Magee – helped Newcastle East End Reds to a massive win over Cramlingto­n Town Whites - keeping them top of the table.

Third-placed Whickham Fellside kept the pressure on the leaders with a 2-1 result against Cramlingto­n United Panthers.

In Division Five, a brace from Hassan Jabal contribute­d to thirdplace­d Newcastle Westgate’s win over Cramlingto­n United Juniors before they earned a 2-2 draw against champions Walbottle.
