Pont more than happy to settle for second best with a big win

THERE was only one game in the Under-16 Premiership - Ponteland United PSG securing a second-place finish with a big win over fourthplaced Berwick Rangers.

Blyth Town and Cramlington Town Whites played out a 2-2 draw. ■■THE Under- 17 League Cup was also up for grabs – Newcastle East End Whites completing the double with a 4-1 win over Cramlington Juniors, who finished just one point behind them in the Premiership this season.

In the Challenge Shield it was Burradon Juniors who completed the double by beating Ryton and Crawcrook Albion in the final – Burradon also clinching the Division One title.

In Division Two, Newburn Park beat fourthplaced Kingston Park 4-3 at the top of the table – securing second place in the process.

Third-placed Prudhoe sealed their place in the top three with a 2-1 success over Blyth Rangers Valencia thanks to Finley Mark and Jason Waters. ■■UNDER-18 Ray Knight League winners Forest Hall completed a treble of trophies with a 2-1 win in the Pinpoint Recruitment Under-18 League Cup final over North Shields Juniors Athletic.
