WITH bloodied knives, skulls, witches and even a coffin, this has to be among the spookiest Halloween houses in the North East.

Sarah Turnbull decorates her home on October 1 every year to give people plenty of time to enjoy the sight of all the scary skeletons and horror props she puts up.

And this year her front window has the theme of the Saw horror films, complete with a bloodstained apron and other tools.

Her home in Castledale Avenue, Blyth , Northumberland, also has a coffin with a 5ft witch inside, a Jeepers Creepers mannequin, a Michael Myers mask, Pirates of the Caribbean-themed objects, ripped nets and a special witches corner with a smoking cauldron.

There is even blood coming out of the letter box.

Sarah, 38, a security officer at Newcastle Airport , said: “These are things that I have collected over the years. Some of them were gifts and I made some of them myself. The rest I have bought from various shops.

“I used to love Halloween when I was little. I remember that me and my brother were dressed up every single year and I really enjoyed it.

“When I moved out, I started decorating my own house every year.

“The response I get is amazing and a lot of people come to have a look. I’ve already had four sets of people knocking on my door saying how good the house looks.

“Children walking home from school always stop to take a look and so do adults.

“It brings joy to them and that’s what I love the most.”
