A189 Killingworth Road is closed in both directions closed due to major roadworks between West Farm Avenue and Freeman Road.
From Sunday, October 7, until Sunday, October 14, the A167 Ropery Lane is closed in both directions due to roadworks at A167/B1284/Ropery Lane roundabout between 7pm-6am. BY BUS
Killingworth Road, Gosforth, is closed between South Gosforth Roundabout and West Farm Avenue until (approx) summer 2019 to widen the road. Routes 18, 18A, 38, 54, 218, X7, X8 & X63 are diverted via Four Lane Ends. BY METRO
There are no trains running between Chichester and South Shields in either direction until Sunday, 4 November. This is to allow for work on the new South Shields interchange. A replacement bus service, number 900, is running between Chichester and South Shields. BY TRAIN
On Saturday, CrossCountry services will not run between Newcastle and Edinburgh. Replacement buses will run between Newcastle and Edinburgh, calling at all booked stations.
On Saturday, an amended LNER timetable will be in operation. An hourly service will run between Newcastle and Edinburgh by a diversionary route, extending journey times by up to 90 minutes. A half-hourly service will run between London Kings Cross and Newcastle. Replacement buses will run between Newcastle, Morpeth, Alnmouth, Berwick-uponTweed, Dunbar and Edinburgh.
Engineering work is taking place between Manchester and Dewsbury, closing some lines. On Monday to Thursday, the 10pm Newcastle to Manchester Airport service will not call at Huddersfield and will terminate at Manchester Piccadilly with a replacement coach provided forward to Manchester Airport. A replacement coach will operate between Huddersfield and Dewsbury for connections.
In order to improve reliability, London North Eastern Railway (LNER) will run an amended timetable from Wednesday, 22 August, onwards.
