In Division Two, two sets each by John Rowell and Mike Bradley enabled the E team to defeat the Tribunes 6-4.

Newton B had mixed fortunes in Division Three as they defeated Cramlington Cobras 8-2 but lost to the Falcons 6-4.

In Division Four Tyneside B fielded a strong second division player in Chas Robertson, who duly won all of his sets in a 5-5 draw with Matfen Consuls.
