Sunshine Fund, said: “We are extremely excited for The Glass Slipper Awards in 2019. We are trying to increase awareness of the awards much more in the community, to make sure as many people as possible can consider nominating their family, friends or colleagues.

“Our Woman in the Community category can now be voted on by everyone in the North East, so that people in our local region feel part of the awards and are part of deciding the fitting winners. This is all new to the event and promises to keep the awards ceremony inclusive and a prestigiou­s way to recognise North East Women.

“Our new logo is much more bold and stronger than before and feels a much more fitting way to brand the event.

“North will again be Headline Sponsor of The Glass Slipper Awards 2019. Through North’s generous commitment over the last few years, they have supported numerous disabled children and their families in the region significan­tly enhancing their lives and making a difference to their day-to-day activities.”
