HALTWHISTLE Jubilee are trying to replicate their sensational run to last season’s Northumberland FA Minor Cup final.

They moved into the quarterfinals of this year’s contest with a 5-3 victory over higher-ranked Blyth Spartans Reserves at The Burn.

Paul Wilson was their hat-trick hero on the day, Jack Barker also scoring along with an own goal.

A brave fight from Ponteland United Reserves was not enough as they slipped to a 2-1 defeat to Blyth Town - despite a goal from Kittisak Spratt.

Gosforth Bohemian Reserves also bowed out to Cullercoats.

In league action, Red House Farm beat Wideopen A 3-0 with goals from Paul Eddy, Darren Martin and Juan Valbuena.

Meanwhile, Wallsend Boys Club Development were left to rue a pair of missed penalties in their 4-2 loss at West Jesmond.

A hat-trick from Marc Cowley and a Liam Mulligan strike had Jesmond four goals to the good at the break.

Although Callum Ritson countered twice in the second half, it was not enough for Wallsend. ■■WHEELCHAIR Warriors hold a one-point lead at the top of the Houghton-le-Spring Soccer Sixes Six-a-Side League’s Premier Division from Red City.

In the Consett Premiership, Snorting Lisbon lead Pink Panthers by three points after 14 games.
