POEM OF THE DAY

A Wonderful Smile

other requirements, failure to observe which also justify requiring persons from other countries to leave Britain.

It was Theresa May’s choice, when she was Home Secretary NOT to implement these for Britain.

Her claim of “ending free movement” is farcical, much as Don Quixote’s claim to have gained great victories over the windmills of La Mancha.

In any case she seems entirely to ignore the disastrous consequences of restricting/ abolishing the rights of British citizens freely to move, travel, study, settle, work in 27 other countries from The Atlantic to the Black Sea; from the North Sea to the Mediterranean.

Regarding which, as full members of the European Union, we are entitled to have a democratic input, which would be entirely lost were we to withdraw from this greater European Community. KENNETH G MCDONALD,

Alnwick Look after your teeth whatever you do

They need to last your whole life through

You need your teeth to smile, chew and bite

To sustain one’s body throughout your life

No doubt the dentist will cost an arm and a leg

But hopefully he will keep every tooth in your head The cost of treatment is more than worthwhile

When you look in the mirror and see a beautiful smile

One’s children must not body swerve

The flossing and cleaning which gets on our nerves

From a healthy mouth you get just reward

As losing teeth one cannot afford
