BEST OF THE REST

COLD FEET ITV, 9pm

BACK for a new series, this revived soapy drama is as comforting as an old pair of slippers. You might enjoy it mostly out of nostalgia, but we’ve come to love the characters and it has a cracking cast.

As this kicks off, they prepare for a wedding. Adam (James Nesbitt), Pete (John Thomson), David (Robert Bathurst), Jenny (Fay Ripley) and Karen (Hermione Norris) all look like they could potentially be the bride or groom getting hitched. But who is actually walking down the aisle? It’s a neat little trick to reel us in.

Meanwhile, Jenny and Pete just can’t get enough of each other, until some unexpected news sends poor Jenny into a tailspin.

CELEBRITY COACH TRIP E4, 7.30pm

THOSE who are hard of hearing may actually be at an advantage here – there is a lot of screeching.

Packed with over-the-top celebs, mainly reality stars, the coach sets off across Spain, from Barcelona to Benidorm.

Brendan Sheerin, international tour guide extraordinaire, as he would probably prefer to be called, hosts this raucous but unendingly popular game show.

First on board are Strictly’s James and Ola Jordan, Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby and boyfriend Josh Ritchie, Made in Chelsea lads Sam Thompson and James Dunmore, TOWIE’s Bobby Norris and friend Nadia Essex, and pop singers Lisa Maffia and Mutya Buena.
