Davison on Mark with late strike
CHEMFICA Amateurs celebrated reaching their first trophy final for five years as they saw off the challenge of Swalwell in the Neville Cowley Cup.
A brace from Steffano Kissak put Fica two goals to the good at the break - only for counters from George Wats and Wayne Dunn to level the tie in the second half.
However, an added-time winner from Mark Davison earned Chemfica their place in the decider.
Also celebrating an impressive cup success were Haltwhistle Jubilee.
They moved into the last four of the Northumberland FA Minor Cup with a 3-2 victory at higher-ranked Bedlington.
Greg Irwin, Jack Barker and Kieran Robley took Jubilee through as they look to at least match last year’s achievement of reaching the final.
Morpeth beat Red House Farm 7-2 in the last eight of the Tyneside Amateur Challenge Shield.
