“The clothes get smaller but the challenges get even more difficult,” Joe warns as the contestants panic about making fiddly little garments.
To test the sewers’ dexterity, judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young kick off The Pattern Challenge with a wardrobe staple of every child.
Expect to learn everything you never wanted to know about hoodies.
Next, the Transformation Challenge sees the sewers turn faux fur coats into fantastical fancy dress beasts.
Later, the studio welcomes some mini models who await some made-to-measure dance costumes.
These must be perfectly fitted, but allow enough freedom of movement for the dancing children to perform The hornpipe, the tarantella and Highland fling down the catwalk.
Who will tango their way to the top and win garment of the week, and who will stumble, becoming the second sewer to totally unravel?
