MacKenzie prepares to defend his belt

BILTON HALL’S classy welterweight Ewan MacKenzie defends his Development Belt against 6ft 3in former champion Matthew Walsh from Glendale on his club’s show at The Shack on Thursday, writes

The Jarrow club will showcase heavyweight debutant Ross Preston, exciting middleweight Dylan PhoenixMorrison, welterweight Rahan Choudhury and newcomer at lightheavy Tony Foggon.

At junior level, middleweight Jack Murphy goes in with the tough Jack Bowden from Redcar while the Boldon brothers Josh and Ben will also be on the bill alongside Harry Loughlin, Isaac Laidler and Rhys Corr.

Two 16 stone super heavyweights collide when Nyall Stevenson from Sunderland’s North Star goes up against Lewis Bell of Gateshead’s High Fell ABC. Entry is £12.
