ONTHE RADAR
TIME FOR A CHANGE
NOT everyone is a fan of wearable tech. Personally, I don’t want a watch that is constantly monitoring my pulse and reminding me to ring my wife. I just want something that tells the time and looks good doing it. And if I don’t have to remortgage the house to buy it, so much the better.
Step forward MVMT watches. This online company has been catching my eye of late with its simple, stylish and affordable timepieces – like this Chrono Series Gunmetal Sandstone offering.
Priced at £125, it’s a great every day option and comes with a choice of straps. Get it at mvmtwatches.com
A NEW SCENT TO DISCOVER
JUDGING by the latest men’s fragrance to hit the shops, even the world of aftershaves is embracing the zeitgeist and focussing on sustainability.
The main ingredients of Montblanc Explorer come from Givaudan’s Sourcing for Shared Value program.
The famous perfume house has identified several ingredients essential to perfumery – such as vetiver or patchouli – and supports local producers in embracing ethical and sustainable development.
As the name would suggest, it’s a globe-trotting feast for the senses, with Bergamot from Italy, Vetiver from Haiti and Patchouli from Indonesia.
Montblanc Explorer launches exclusively with The Perfume Shop on March 27 then going nationwide from April 29. Prices start at £33 for the 30ml eau de parfum.
FUTURE’S SO BRIGHT...
IF you’re struggling to keep those cheap sunglasses you bought on your nose, You Mawo may have the answer for you.
The German 3D printing pioneers are offering a service that lets you create your own tailored sunnies (utilising a 3D headscan on your iPad).
Once your measurements have been taken, the company works with selected opticians to put them together and deliver them within 15 working days. We particularly like their Atum range, pictured below. But be warned, made-to-measure shades don’t come cheap, they’re priced £327.
Check out their website youmawo. com for a step-by-step guide to the process.
