Chris shock?

-

STRICTLY Come Dancing fans think Chris Ramsey could cause a real shock and actually win the show this year.

The South Shields comedian has come on leaps and bounds in the ballroom since week one, wowing with a Couples Choice routine to Let’s Get Ready to Rhumble and a energetic salsa to Uptown Funk.

And, on Saturday night, Chris and professional dancing partner Karen Hauer found themselves near the top of the leaderboard once again after a mean and moody paso doble to Run Boy Run.

The pair were awarded 31 points by the four judges, good enough to be the joint third-highest score on the night.

No one is more surprised to see Chris doing so well than the funny man himself.

However, bookmakers are less convinced, with Chris still the rank outsider, with odds as long as 33/1 for him to win the competition.

Chris and Karen are through to next weekend’s Musicals Week, with this week’s Strictly result seeing Saffron Barker and AJ Pritchard leave the competition.

Five couples remain on the show, with former Emmerdale actor and racing driver Kelvin Fletcher paired with Oti Mabuse – the favourites to lift the Glitterball Trophy.

However, support is growing for Chris, with some Strictly viewers tipping Chris to record a surprise victory.

One fan boldly predicted “Chris Ramsey is going to win this year. Just leaving this here.”

Another tweeted: “I’m saying it now CHRIS RAMSEY YOU ARE MY WINNER @karen_hauer @IAmChrisRamsey that paso doble was next level YES YES YES.”
