Thriving local heating repair business expands

GRAVITY HEATING HAS RELOCATED TO NEW UNITS AT ASHINGTON COURT WITH ADVANCE NORTHUMBERLAND’S HELP

-

A LOCAL gas repair and heating business has opened its new unit after relocation and expansion.

Local business Gravity Heating, owned by Rory Pallas, started up two years ago, after Rory had worked as a gas engineer in his home town of Ashington for over 10 years.

Rory decided to set up on his own and work for himself with the expanse of experience and knowledge he had gained to run his own company.

Since the launch of the business, the company has continued to grow rapidly. Rory had been working from his home, but due to the success of his service, it quickly became clear that he needed larger premises to operate from.

Gravity Heating saw the need for more space and, having walked his dog at the local Wansbeck Business Park in Ashington, Rory saw the newly built, fit for purpose workshop and warehouse units at Ashington Court.

With support from Advance Northumberland’s commercial team, Rory quickly relocated and expanded following his growing popularity with clients. Advance Northumberland provided Gravity Heating with a option tailored to the needs of his business, securing a 500 sq. ft. unit just five minutes away from the town centre.

Gravity Heating provides a full gas and heating service including boiler repairs, boiler installations, servicing, and landlord CP12’s.

Rory is a Worcester Bosch Accredited Installer and, post Covid lockdown, is now very busy trying to clear the back log of client and landlord requests.

Rory Pallas, owner of Gravity Heating, said: “The popularity has been so great, I needed a bigger home to support and service my clients. I’m thrilled with the new unit, the space is modern and secure and for a business unit looks very professional.

“The customer service I received from Advance Northumberland was fantastic and they have helped me to locate quickly and safely. With this new facility, I can now move the business forward and to support demand, I’m looking to take on a local apprentice later in the year.”

Christine Cothill, commercial manager at Advance Northumberland, said: “I am really pleased that Gravity Heating has had such a great success in such a short space of time and needed to locate into premises. At Advance Northumberland, we are dedicated to supporting businesses like Gravity Heating in Northumberland to grow and thrive.

“We have a variety of high quality modern industrial units and workshops across Northumberland, this includes functional units in town centre or outof-town industrial parks, used either for storage or as working facilities for manufacturing, logistics, and chemicals companies.

“We offer a range of lease terms, together with a professional and efficient service from our team of surveyors, customer service and maintenance.
