Darlow is set to be thrown to the Wolves
NEWCASTLE United will have Karl Darlow fit for the trip to Wolves - and could have their defensive options bolstered for the clash.
Darlow ( below) was struggling towards the end of the Manchester United game, having delivered a man-of-the-match performance in stopping the Red Devils for large parts of the contest.
However, as revealed in the Chronicle earlier in the week, scans are understood to have revealed no serious damage from the clash with striker Marcus Rashford and the shotstopper will be back in training in time for the Wolves match.
An injury would have left United with only Mark Gillespie and youngster Dan Langley available for Sunday. Freddie Woodman is at Swansea on a season-long loan while firstchoice Martin Dubravka is likely to be out until December at the earliest. United will also have Paul Dummett and Ciaran Clark available after they came through Monday’s under-23 clash with Fulham. Midfielder Matty Longstaff may be fielded in tomorrow’s inder-23 game at West Brom as he looks to rebuild fitness.
