BUFFY The Vampire Slayer actor Anthony Head swapped vampires for swashbuckling fun as Captain Hook in the Savoy Theatre’s Peter Pan production in London. He also appeared as the Pirate King in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates Of Penzance that year.

BRIAN BLESSED was the loudest pirate on board when he and singer Toyah Wilcox appeared together as Captain Hook and Peter Pan at the Arnaud Theatre in Guildford.

AMERICAN movie star Danny Kaye played both Mr Darling and Captain Hook in the TV movie Peter Pan, which saw Mia Farrow as Peter and Britain’s Sir John Gielgud as the narrator. Future Only Fools And Horses star Nicholas Lyndhurst appeared as Tootles.

HAPPY Days star Henry Winkler first found TV fame as the Fonz but got to play the baddie when he appeared as Captain Hook in the Liverpool Empire’s Peter Pan panto. It saw Les Dennis as the Dame and Natasha Hamilton in the title role.

FORMER Stars In Their Eyes host Matthew Kelly was dodging the tick-tocking crocodile in his search for Peter Pan in Birmingham Repertory Theatre’s pantomime.

LOOKING for a nice little earner? Minder star George Cole switched from Arthur Daley to the wicked pirate when he joined singer Lulu for a production of Peter Pan at the Cambridge Theatre in London.

ACTOR Peter Blake had played a self-aggrandising fop before as Kirk St Moritz in sitcom Dear John, so he was perfectly cast as Hook at the Birmingham Hippodrome.

OH, YES he is. EastEnders Steve McFadden is best known as Phil Mitchell on the BBC soap, but has played Captain Hook several times over the years including in the pantomime Peter Pan at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking, Surrey.
