Brewin Dolphin creates a return on investment for communities across the North East

INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT COMPANY BREWIN DOLPHIN CONTINUES TO HELP LOCAL CHARITIES SUPPORT THEIR BENEFICIARIES

-

As inflation rates and the cost of living reaches an all-time high, charities are being asked to do more with less, the need for which has never been greater. Brewin Dolphin works with charities by investing their reserves in the stock market to protect against inflation, produce income and grow the value of the assets over time. Its history can be traced all the way back to 1762, during that time it has been witness to many stock market dips and pandemics, evidently shaping its culture of remaining calm during times of market stress.

This is why many charities in the North East work with Brewin Dolphin, to invest in the long-term and ensure it can help people for years to come. As a leading UK wealth management company, it has also shown its philanthropic side by helping to raise thousands of pounds for good causes each year through its own foundation. As it works with charities day-to-day Brewin Dolphin is an ambassador for driving support back into the region, as consecutive headline sponsors for the North East Charity Awards. Notable winners across recent years have included the Greggs Foundation and the Newcastle United Foundation, both charitable trusts working to make a difference to people’s lives within the community, whether it’s through grants or football. Brewin Dolphin has eight specialist charity teams in the UK and Ireland, managing over £ 4 billion for more than 1,700 charities.

“We have a unique and privileged position that allows us to see behind the scenes of hundreds of charities and it is because of the amazing work that we see, we feel it is so important to support them through these awards.”

The support is extended across the company too, where employees across Brewin Dolphin can apply for community grants for any cause close to their hearts, or have their fundraising matched, a popular opportunity when the epic Great North Run takes place in the area every year.

“For Brewin Dolphin, charities are a core part of our business, and our role is to support boards of trustees to both, help their money work harder and ensure the smooth running of their charity so they can help even more beneficiaries.

We see ourselves as ambassadors for our clients and the charity sector, we are proud to help them realise their financial objectives to support as many people as possible.”
