DNA FAMILY SECRETS

BBC2, 9pm

-

“Our DNA doesn’t lie but are we ready for the truth?” says Stacey Dooley, right, who is the bringer of news and the shoulder to cry on in this Long Lost Family-style show.

Teaming up with experts, including Professor Turi King, they help people to discover more about their biological families with tear-jerking results.

This time Stacey is in Liverpool to meet 52-year-old Richard, who is on a life-long mission to discover the identity of his father, having only ever hit dead ends in his research.

In another story, 59-year-old Janet has spent her life wondering if a rumour that she might have a secret sister is true. When her father returned as a British prisoner of war during World War Two, she had heard that he may have fathered a child while in Austria.
