POEM OF THE DAY

- By George Mclanders

A GOOD REASON

Spring comes calling for a very good reason,

Without a shadow of doubt it’s nature’s finest season.

The sun now shines and the sap begins to flow,

And everything in the garden begins to grow.

Birds arriving back from overseas Look rather shattered but very pleased.

With wildlife now out and about, Yes, the heat of the sun brings more than the girls out.

Having suffered the long winter days and very cold nights,

The warmth of spring rekindles spirits as well as our lives

Yes, spring is the season of renewal,

Unfortunately, for some spring can be ever cruel.
