Countries would be wrong to trust Boris

-

I NOTE that at the very time that Boris Johnson is doing his Winston Churchill impersonation and signing treaties to come to the aid of Finland and Sweden if Putin sends his tanks rolling in their direction, both he and foreign secretary Liz Truss are threatening to break a treaty signed with the European Union over the Northern Ireland protocol.

So my advice to those gallant Scandinavians is not to rely too much on Boris and his cronies if the missiles do start raining in their direction.

He will probably be scrabbling around looking for a way out and

suggesting that he was not really being serious at the time when he signed up.

The sad reality is that we have a disreputable Prime Minister and shabby Tory Government who are prepared to trash our reputation with the rest of the world if it suits their own grubby interests to do so and we will all bear the consequences.
