This tense psychological horror, set during a bright Nordic summer, warps and corrupts the tropes of a superhero origin story.
Nine-year-old Ida (Rakel Lenora Flottum) lives with her autistic sister Anna (Alva Brynsmo Ramstad) but the siblings struggle to communicate. Ida meets a neglected and bullied boy called Ben (Sam Ashraf), who channels his rage and alienation into the murder of a cat.
Left to their own devices, Ida and Ben unleash dark and mysterious powers when they are together.
Anna and another girl Aisha (Mina Yasmin Bremseth Asheim) are also blessed with dangerous abilities and the four children push the boundaries of their playtime with harrowing consequences.
