Industry the key to our success
ONCE again we had a hue and cry because a burglar died.
The man was defending his own property and was 78 years old. Had the said burglar not been where he was, i.e. stealing from someone, then they would not be dead.
Why can’t these people find a job and try working for a living?
My son turns 40 as I write and has defended his Queen and country for the last 24 years. He joined up when he was 16 years old and we are all very proud of him.
This country needs a damn good shake up to get it sorted out. Hopefully, in 11 months time, when we finally have Brexit, then Theresa May will maybe start and rebuild industry again. She has already given hundreds of jobs away.
Our new passports are going to be made in France. Why?
Even saying that France will be £150m cheaper, than De La Rue, have they not thought of the taxes that De La Rue will pay in this country?
How much money the workers will pay in tax and how much they, the workers, will spend in the local economy? At the end of the day, all this money will come back into our country.ROSEMARY ROBSON,
