REUNITED

-

I am searching for information about a relative of mine. Sadly I have very little to go on apart from the fact that her real name was Gwyneth but she sang in the clubs under another name.

She was born around 1930, in the Sunderland area, and appeared on New Faces in the 1970s as part of the act of her then comedian boyfriend, she was dressed as a policewoman.

Might anyone know who she was? Her association with me is through my father’s uncle Frank Hodson who met and married a Sunderland girl Annie Pipe during the First World War.

As they were childless it is possible she was part of the extended family. My dad spent many school holidays with his aunt and uncle in Seaburn. I too was introduced to the ice cream at “Naughty Annie’s” in the late sixties!
