Tiny Woods develop ball skills as they catch spot of Futsal fever

FUTSAL

-

TINY Woods Academy hosted a Futsal Fever Camp during the October Half Term.

Children were given an introduction to the game Futsal, participating in Futsal drills, learning the role of playing the pivot which is a centre forward in football. Playing 2v2 tournaments, small-sided games are one of the best ways to develop players; using a small field and maximising players touches. It also helps players to develop their tactical awareness and game management.

On the final day of the camp, the High Sheriff of Northumberland came along to see the work the Academy does and even presented the medals and trophies to the children.
