FORMER Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers’s next MMA fight will be in Newcastle.

The unbeaten cage fighter will take on an unconfirmed opponent on February 9 at the Metro Radio Arena.

The 31-year-old will fight in the Bellator card’s co-main event.

The event is headlined by another North East fighter. Sunderland lightweight Ryan Scope will face feared champion Patricky ‘Pitbull’ Freire in a title fight.

The Brazilian has beaten former UFC stars like Josh Thompson and Benson Henderson.

Chalmers, who has racked up four stoppages since turning pro, tweeted his joy at fighting on home turf.

“It’s official... 9th Feb I’m back ,” he posted.

Nicknamed ‘The Joker’, his debut for Bellator – seen as the UFC’s strongest rival – ended in a sensational first-round submission of Greg Jenkins.

He’s previously used the Blaydon Races as his walkout music. He shot to fame on the MTV series before quitting after four years.
