THESE busking triplets are serenading shoppers in Newcastle this Christmas.

The Nolan brothers – Isaac, Oscar and Theo – are pulling on their festive jumpers and pitching up on Northumberland Street this winter.

The 15-year-olds from Gateshead have been playing music together for years and now they are getting in the Christmas mood.

Playing under the name Trilogy, you will find the triplets belting out classic like ‘Merry Xmas Everybody’ and ‘Step Into Christmas’ outside Marks and Spencers.

Lead singer Oscar said: “Me and Isaac have been playing together since we were four or five and Theo has started playing with us in the last few years.

“We play a lot of acoustic music and we like anything with nice harmonies but we’re throwing some Christmas songs in there.

“Today is our 72nd busking session which is quite crazy to think of really, we’re in town most Saturdays. But we’re definitely making more of an effort to make things more Christmassy for the next couple of weeks.”

The trio, who are from Rowlands Gill, regularly play gigs for their friends at Whickham School.

Next year they’re planning on playing their biggest gig yet: a slot at the Live Theatre on Newcastle’s Quayside.
