Parliament launch for Lent

The Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, and the Rt Hon Stephen Timms MP, presented Love Life Live Lent – Be the Change for participants in Lent last Thursday morning in Parliament, with the MP, chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Faith and Society, introduced the Archbishop of York and the campaign in hopes of making “small but profound changes to the world.”

With Lent beginning in less than four weeks, the Archbishop of York commended the campaign by sharing the effect of the book: “It says ‘these actions could seriously affect you and the world you live in’,” he stated smiling. “So you’re warned.”

The Love Life Live Lent – Be the Change booklets, written by Paula Gooder and Peter Babington, give people of all ages tasks in practicing the faith during Lent, with the booklet’s impact has proven significant since it has had 400,000 users since 2007.
