The Rt Rev Paul Butler, Bishop of Durham, was taking part in a series of events during this week, culminating in a service at Durham Cathedral on Saturday 22 February to mark his Inauguration of Public Ministry, Enthronement and Installation. Ahead of tomorrow’s Inauguration service, Bishop Paul will take part in the traditional welcome to the Diocese on Croft Bridge followed by a joint Darlington Deanery and Darlington Civic Reception today. On Saturday, the service begins at 11am at Durham Cathedral. Next week, Bishop Paul will be visiting each of the three Archdeaconries of the Diocese to meet the people and visit various local projects.
