The Bishop of Portsmouth dedicated a Christian reflective area in a C of E school near Havant last Thursday (22 May), completing phase two of a £50,000 Outdoor Learning Area project. The Rt Rev Christopher Foster formally opened the worship circle at St John’s CEC Primary School in Rowlands Castle that the children named Garden of Peace. It is a quiet, spiritual reflection area in a natural setting. Pupils worked with landscape planners and architects to design the outdoor areas. The project was supported by the local church, St John’s, and also by the Anglican Diocese of Portsmouth. It allocated £3,000 from its mission budget towards the £15,000 reflective area.
