Gay marriage debate

- Tony Cullingford, Tewkesbury

Sir, After a lengthy and absorbing conversation with my son, it melted down to a disagreement about the term “Gay Marriage”. We agreed that a ceremony could be performed by two gay people, when their vows were in essence as binding as in a marriage between a man and a woman.

It ended with him keeping to his ideas, and me saying that I could accept a new term, such as “Zeugma” which we Oldies had met in our English “O” Levels. But for me the term “Gay Marriage” still remains off limits.

Perhaps one of your more IT minded readers might try to popularise this on Social Media?!
