St Nicholas’ Cathedral will hold its annual ‘Be a Chorister for a Day’ event for children on 6 June. During the free day, children aged between 7-13 will be invited to sing alongside professional choristers to get an idea of what singing as a Church chorister is like.
Director of Music, Michael Stoddart, says: “It doesn’t matter if you’ve never sung in a choir like this before. What we are looking for are girls and boys aged between seven and 13 who love singing. That spark, that interest, is so important.”
