Southwell Minster and the Archbishop’s Palace is hosting a Discovery Day on 8 September.

The day, with the theme ‘History and Faith’, will feature talks and workshops include singing, sewing, flower arranging and drawing and a chance to view some of the Minster’s valuable paintings at the Dean’s Residence.

Paul Hale, director of music at the Minster for many years, is to give a talk entitled: ‘A Millennium of Music at the Minster.’

A trip up the bell tower or a walking tour of the Cathedral with the building’s architect will also be on offer. Cost is £7 and booking is essential.
