Diocese of Lichfield
Dean of Lichfield, the Very Rev Adrian Dorber, hosted a Refugee Crisis Meeting on Wednesday at the Cathedral. The meeting was designed for people within the diocese and local church and civic leaders to discuss responses to the humanitarian crisis.
Speaking ahead of the event, Dean Dorber said: “Here in England, many cathedrals and churches are holding meetings such as ours to bring together all who are concerned about the situation. We want to harness the good will, compassion and generosity of local communities, the churches and local authorities to see how we can help at this acutely difficult time, and see how we can nudge government into acting with imagination and mercy.”
