How fast a triple?

Your recent part one feature has provoked a discussion between my dad and uncle, who remember the Trident and Rocket 3 launch. Dad and Uncle Den claim a standard Trident can hit 130mph and the racers got to 160mph. Seems a bit farfetched for a pushrod 750. Have you any figures to prove the oldies right? Or have they got their ‘special’ specs on?
