Basement preparations

Thought you might like to see this photograph. It was taken in the basement garage of the guest house in Douglas at the 1966 TT, which ran in September due to the seamen’s strike in

June. The rider was a George Barnacle (private entrant), who was staying at the guest house, and we had breakfast together each morning. The owner of the guest house allowed him to use their premises to store and work on his bike. George, on his AJS 7R, was entrant number 67 and finished 18th in the Junior at an average speed of 88.56 mph.
