The easing of lockdown enabled ELK Promotions to catch up on postponed events from its calendar. First, the annual visit to Ashford Cattle Market on the early May bank holiday and then to the South of England Showground at Ardingly the following weekend.
Both were very busy occasions with sellers, buyers and browsers just pleased to meet like-minded friends once more and share a refreshing freedom from house/garage/ workshop confinement.
A 1952 Peugeot moped, a restored milk churn, a long obsolete AA road sign and possibly the tote pan. Only a jumble could offer such disparate bedfellows.
Rather be out on the road than in the shed? This choice of classics offered temptations at Ashford.
